A fictionalized account of the life of legendary Wild West sharpshooter Annie Oakley. Set in the quiet western town of Diablo, Annie and her little brother, Tagg, make sure that outlaws who mosey into town keep on going.
Annie is called on to help find three men involved in a train robbery. The manager's son tells his father that he's taking over, believing his father is no longer capable of his job.
An old friend of Annie's breaks out of jail with two other inmates to search for the treasure at the mission. She believed his innocence when he was convicted. Now she must help him capture the two inmates who want the treasure.
With an outlaw at large and the Sheriff searching for him, trouble arrives in the form of a fake sheriff, a drunk, and a senseless murder.
While awaiting word from the mine to see if they found gold, Annie discovers a beloved stagecoach is now being driven by a woman, the daughter of the owner who is now threatening to sell the stage and pocket the money
The owner of the mine is bushwhacked, but lives long enough to ask Annie to send for his daughter. His killer still unknown, the daughter has a big decision to make on the running of the mine.
Annie and Lofty jail Dobie but he proclaims his innocence while they look for the rest of the gang. Dobie escapes but he and Tagg get kidnapped by the actual culprits, leading Annie to take desperate measures to rescue her brother.
Tagg experiments with hypnosis and has Moose believing he is a dog. Luckily for all, it helps resolve ownership of a mine that villians are trying to claim
When Annie tries to save an old prospector from an attack by outlaws, they think she has learned the secret location of his cache of gold.
When a girl is blinded in the murder of her father, Annie tries to help her identify the killer.
Sam Forbes is murdered. His foreman Choctaw looks to inherit his ranch when a previously unknown niece Elaine appears. Annie is suspicious but the men fall for her delicate ways. Tag's archery skills play a part in saving the day
Vic Carver, released from prison, arrives with his brother Johnny to get revenge on Annie's Uncle Luke. Annie gets her uncle out of town and tries to reason with the Carvers. She succeeds with Johnny but Vic kidnaps Tagg.
Legendary lawman Clay Griffin is losing his eyesight and refuses an operation despite Annie's pleading. Johnny Storm and the Murdocks commit robbery which leads to Clay's brother Frank being shot.
Annie doesn't believe the man Lofty arrested for the hold up is the right man. She goes behind Lofty's back to prove he's wrong, which gets her into trouble with Lofty.
Les Clinton, alias Texas Sandman, comes to Diablo ready to retire from gunfighting and marry local teacher Marge. He befriends Annie who aids him when the Yanceys arrive seeking revenge against the weaponless Clinton
Annie comes to the rescue of an eastern banker being taken in by a unscrupulous gambler trying to take advantage of his naivety.
A chemist poisons the watering holes on a wild game preserve in a scheme to take over the land.
Annie and Tagg return from raising money for charity with a circus sideshow when they are robbed by someone calling himself the Welshman. Annie recovers part of the money, then she and Lofty lay a trap with one last performance
Duke and his gang frame Scott and kidnap Linda to keep him from proving his innocence. Annie and Lofty must stop a lynch mob lead by Howard, save Linda while proving Duke's guilt with Tagg's ventriloquism helping.
Lofty's niece Penny arrives on a stage that's been robbed and Tagg is envious because she's better at activities. Annie and Lofty are unable to solve the crime but the youngsters discover a lead.
When orphaned teen Bucky starts hanging out with local tough Mace, a concerned Annie warns his brother Steve. But Bucky defies Steve joining with Mace in a robbery, causing Annie and Lofty to head after them.
Lofty has jailed Hugo but he won't reveal the location of the stolen loot. Annie thinks if they let Hugo escape they can trail him but they don't count on him kidnapping Tagg. Tagg, as a hostage, makes Hugo's life miserable
Boiler O'Doul arrives in Diablo with the town's new steam fire engine exciting everyone, especially Tagg. When the bank is robbed Annie doesn't suspect the respectable Rodells, are the masterminds
Mr. Wong (Keye Luke) owns valuable property in town and someone wants to get it cheap. They harass and attempt to convince Mr. Wong to get out of town
Panic hits Diablo and the citizens make a run on the bank over worries of solvency. Afraid he will be exposed as a counterfeiter, the banker decides to fake his own death
Ralph and Mary plan to claim a fertile piece of land Mary's father discovered in his travels. Ralph is brutally beaten by a pair of crooks who plan to claim it for themselves, Annie and Lofty decide to stake a claim for the young couple
Two outlaws rob a stage, kill the driver and leave the shotgun guard for dead. The guard survives, but he can't defend himself from charges of robbery and murder because the bullet wound has caused complete amnesia
After Annie stops a bank robbery, Smiley Douglas decides it would be a great joke to pretend to rob the bank the next day. The outlaw gang who bungled their earlier attempt trick the trickster into helping them rob the bank yet again
An miner's boastful letters to his grandson living in the East comes back to haunt him when the youngster announces he will be visiting the old man to learn more about his crime-fighting exploits
Della envies Annie's freedom and riding skills. When the rodeo comes to town, Della's father refuses to let her to meet her boyfriend, one of the competitors. When Della decides to run away, she falls under the sway of an unsavory couple

Annie and Tagg meet Tim Lafferty, a strange Irishman who is searching for treasure with the help of leprechauns. When a neighbor tries to take the Biddle ranch, Tim proves invaluable to Annie and Lofty by helping them smoke out the killers

The inventor of an new rifle plans to give the weapon to the US Army in gratitude for being allowed to immigrate. A crooked businessman decides to take advantage of the man's patriotism and sends an impostor to take possession of the gun
While Annie and Lofty pursue an outlaw who killed a sheriff, Tagg tries to coach his schoolteacher on the finer points of romance.
